Gran Cielo is located within Vina Robles’ Huerhuero Ranch Vineyard, off Hwy 46 East in Paso Robles, California.
The overall community includes 863 acres along with 650 acres of active vineyard.
Gran Cielo consists of 42 ideally sited homesites nestled among the vines of the Huerhuero Ranch Vineyard. For current homesite availability please contact us.
Gran Cielo homesites are all between 1 to 1.6 acres.
Yes, both homesites and pre-planned custom homes will be offered.
Abbott | Reed, Inc. is the preferred custom builder at Gran Cielo.
Gran Cielo does not have a homeowner’s association.
The community does have Design Guidelines in place to preserve the view corridors for each homesite to the maximum extent possible. Some homesites have specific height restrictions and design considerations based on location and topography.
In addition, Gran Cielo homes are subject to some color restrictions as identified by the County of San Luis Obispo. Design Guidelines require homes to be a minimum size of 3,000 square feet of living space with a maximum of 7,000 square feet of living space unless approved by the DRC. Secondary buildings are permitted up to 2,000 square feet. Prefabricated and mobile homes are not permitted at Gran Cielo. A copy of the Design Guidelines is available upon request.
A representative appointed by a 51% vote of the lot owners and vineyard owner will oversee community maintenance.
In addition to fully paved roads, the Gran Cielo community provides gas service, electrical service, water service and Charter cable. All homes at Gran Cielo will utilize septic systems.
Gran Cielo is a private, gated community with attractive gated entrances to both access points for the community.
The Huerhuero Ranch Mutual Water Company provides water for Gran Cielo residents; a mutual water company is a private corporation organized for the purpose of delivering water to its shareholders and members at cost.
Owners at Gran Cielo will become stockholders in the Huerhuero Ranch Mutual Water Company. All properties within Gran Cielo are subject to the Huerhuero Ranch Mutual Water Company and its policies and procedures.
Gran Cielo is a water-neutral community, offsetting any impact on the Paso Robles Groundwater Basin through the use of water offsets approved by San Luis Obispo County, as well as the Department of Public Works.
Additionally, the architectural guidelines for Gran Cielo encourage the use of water-and energy-saving features such as: ground water recycling, low-use drip irrigation and drought-tolerant plant materials.
Yes. No oak trees have been removed from Huerhuero Ranch or Gran Cielo for the development of the vineyards or home sites.
Gran Cielo is part of the Huerhuero Ranch Vineyard of Vina Robles Winery, a “Sustainability in Practice” (SIP) Certified growing operation. SIP Certification is a rigorous sustainable vineyard and wine certification with strict standards based on science, expert input and independent verification. SIP Certified considers the whole farm, verifying the owner’s commitment to environmental stewardship.
